Tranh 'Xom Duong Tau'

A popular tourist destination in Hanoi, I stumbled across it by accident as I was walking through the city. I decided to make a woodcut from a photo I took. This inspired my recent exploration into hidden alleyways and the stories they hold. After I started this print I heard about the legend of the 'broom man' who sometimes chased away unwanted tourists with his broom! If you look closely you can just about make him out waiting patiently in the background.
