Tranh 'Trà Sen'
Meaning 'lotus tea' this is an image inspired by the method of packing lotus flowers with green tea to create a special blend with the fragrance of a lotus flower. With an aesthetic borrowed from early hand printed book illustrations I drew this design straight to the woodblock before printing by hand. The cup is nestled in the leaves of the lotus flower and boats can be seen in the distance gently floating through the quiet river.
