Railroad Alley Hanoi
Whilst walking around Hanoi’s old quarter, taking photos for inspiration I came across this infamous alley by mistake! Drawn to the obvious railway going through the houses I then looked it up and found out its history and notoriety. Digging further I uncovered a tale about the ‘angry broom man’ who lingers on this street and doesn’t like nosey tourists taking photos so shoos them away with his broom! If you look very closely at the print you can just about make him out at the very back of the image.
